A red dress, an ivory suit and a cable-car up a mountain for a 15 minute shoot in a blanket of snow. One of the highlights of my 600+, 12 year wedding career. Fuse that experience with an outrageously fun bride and groom in Hannah + Marc and their outrageously fun family and friends and we have an incredible wedding day on our hands.
I arrived the day prior to capture some of the welcome party, guests fully decked out in the neon ‘Apres-Ski’ party vibe dress code. Always cool to be there for the meet’n’greet at a destination wedding.
The day of the races and I headed to Marc + Hannah’s chalet to capture bridal prep whilst a layer of snow enveloped the ground around us. And then onwards to the ceremony location where their good friend Blythe took the reins and conducted the marriage with his enthusiasm and vibrancy.
After this we headed up the mountain for that incredible shoot and here’s a mini story that will get you… on the way down Marc realised that his ring was missing! I must admit that I had no hope that he’d find it amongst that ankle-deep snow, Hannah on the other hand was certain he would. And, incredibly, she was right! Keep the faith haha.
We headed across to La Cabane Des Praz for the reception and partied hard until the small hours. Hannah, Marc, Chamonix, you have my heart.
The evening prior…
The day of the wedding…
Oh. my. I want these people in my life forever!
